Well, what a great weekend we had with Ps Ants Cuthers from Hamilton Elim Church. He brought such a wonderful message about asking the question “what can I do?” Last Sunday saw our biggest numbers too since trialing the two morning services with just under 300 people attending across the two services. It’s clear to see that giving our people options is really working. Well done to everyone involved in making Sundays happen. You are all such a key part of the team.
We’re doing a few new things on our Sunday mornings.
Firstly you would’ve noticed we’ve started offering Espresso coffee. This is again a great way to bless our visitors and also serve our own people. For guests it’s free and for everyone else it’s $3.50 or less. We still have our regular plunger coffee available in the Auditorium.
Also for all our people on the Dream Team on a Sunday we have set up a lounge with free drinks, snacks, cereal just for you. If you are serving in any way on a Sunday you are more than welcome to go in there and help yourself.
On that note we are looking to train up more Baristas to be part of the Dream team on a Sunday. If you are interested to receive the free training, fill in a contact card and we’ll let you know what night it will be happening.
This weekend we have Ps Mike Griffiths with us. Ps Mike leads an amazing Church in Auckland with his wife Liz. Ps Mike is going to continue our series on the Kingdom of God is like by looking at the current situation around Sexual Identity, Transgenderism and the Churches response. This is going to be a service you won’t want to miss. Bring people with you.
Let me encourage you with this passage from 3 John: 11 “Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God. “
From Ps Ants message and in reading this passage this morning (Which I borrowed from Taua’s reading) what good can you do this week? What good can you do this month? Is there a need that you see? Maybe the question is not “who is helping this person out or who is serving that need but how can I be a part of what is happening?”
This Sunday we also have baby dedications so make sure you are there this Sunday it’s going to be amazing!
Cheering you on,
Nu and Taua.
