Firstly what a great service we had on Sunday with Ps Jennifer Wilkinson preaching a great message called Unexpected Blessings. If you missed it or want to listen to it again download our app – Elim Christchurch - from the App Store or go to our website – elimchristchurch.org
This week I’ve been reading through some of the Psalms. The book of Psalms is such a great source of inspiration and encouragement for your soul. It carries such a powerful anointing to lift your sights and see the bigness and goodness of God. It reminds us that God is near and not a distant God. That he cares about what you are going through. And it reminds you that there is hope and comfort in Him.
Here’s a great example of what I mean. Psalm 91
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
Start your day of the right way and get into the word of God. Maybe start with these words from Psalms 91 and meditate on what it really means for you today. God is on your side, in Him you will find peace.
In an ever changing World, God remains the same. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Enjoy your reading!
We are so excited about this year. We have a lot planned for term one. But here are some things you definitely need to know.
Have an amazing week. Rest in his presence often and know that our Father in heaven is in control.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday. Blessings Nu and Taua.
