It’s hard to know which I’m more excited about at the moment. The Replenish Conference for all the wonderful women in our church and from around the South Island or our Missions Trip to the Philippines. Both I know will be life changing. Both will be God honouring and both will be milestones for us as a church.
It’s great to know that Replenish Conference is solely dedicated to focusing on the needs and issues of Women in our church. Ladies can come and just receive from God without the worries of kids and things that need to be done. They can connect with other women and make new connections or they can come with friends and have a special “girls” weekend. It’s unlike other conferences in the sense that it is truly about women being ministered to and loved on completely. At this year’s conference, besides our main speaker from the US Malinda Ireland, we have Ps Phil and Bronny Godsiff, sharing of their challenges of trying for years to have a baby to finally adopting baby Nile. This alone is worth the price of the conference. Also we have a special “girlettes” programme just for the teens. If you know of anyone in Years 9-13 then bring them along. Make it a mother and daughter weekend. The girls will have their own breakout elective and area during the conference just for them. We want to make sure our teens feel absolutely loved just the way God the Father wants it to be. So if you haven't done so yet, register and get your teen girls registered too. It will be a life changing weekend for you all.
As for the Missions Trip to the Philippines, we are absolutely excited about going and know that God will be with us and open our eyes to the many opportunities to really impact the lives of the people there. The team have been meeting regularly, getting to know each other and praying for each other. We are a small team of four, made up of one Music student, two experienced in business and myself. We each bring different talents and gifts to the team and compliment each other really well.
One of the things we want to do on behalf of the church is to bless Ps Edgar and Beth Martin who run a small church there. They have sent through a list of children in their church and I would love it if we could take a small gift for each child that could fit in an A4 zip-lock plastic envelop. I would also love to be able to give a monetary gift from Elim Church to bless Ps Edgar and Beth who live by very simple means. If you would like to help out with either of these then please contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org , I would love to hear from you.
Thanks for being such a faith filled, generous church; you really are a blessing to the body. See you Sunday. Nu
