On Saturday we hosted the Volunteers BBQ at Spencer Park to thank all our amazing people who commit their time to making church happen. At the BBQ I had a moment where I was sitting and talking with one of our oldest volunteers, Tony Le Cren. As we talked we looked out and saw how kids were running around playing, people were connecting and having fun and we both agreed it was a beautiful sight and was a great sign of things to come. (There are some photos on our Facebook page if you want to have a look)
Again I would like to thank each and every person who has been faithfully serving at church this year. Whether as a regular volunteer in one of our teams or in a one off capacity. You have made this place what it is today. Thank you on behalf of all the Staff, Leaders and Elders. We are truly grateful in how you demonstrate your love for God through serving in our church.
As we come close to the end of another year I can’t help but reflect on the journey thus far. I feel like in the last 12 months we have again gone to a different place. We are going from one level of glory to the next in many ways. I’m absolutely loving our Sunday meetings. Our Youth groups, Children’s programmes are doing so well. The Alpha course is doing well, the Pre-school is beginning to see increase. Our worship team has been really lifting the standard of worship on Sundays. There’s so much to be thankful for. Let’s keep praying for more of God’s wisdom and favour as we move forward into the New Year. Let’s keep asking Him for clear direction in how we can truly be a church that influences and impacts this city.
In September of this year we had Daniel Walker from Nvader speak at our services. Daniel asked that I mention that there is a documentary Undercover Rescue focusing on the work of Nvader will be screening on Wednesday at 9:30pm, TV One.

This is a real chance to see the kind of work they do.
