Yesterday was such a great day – I am still buzzing!
To see so many people fill the auditorium, to see old and new faces combined together was so great. I would like to thank everyone from our amazing technical crew, muso’s, serving teams, and car parking volunteers for making the day great. I just loved everything about the service and I felt so honoured and proud to be a part of this amazing church. I want to encourage us all; God is in control. I know without a shadow of a doubt that God is building His church and that the gates of Hell will not overcome it. Let’s keep building on what God is doing in us and through us. Keep pressing into Him daily. Remember Proverbs 3:5-6 says to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he will make your paths straight.” So this week, whatever your circumstance or situation, lean into God. Let Him know about the things you are dealing with. He has an answer – in God there is always a way! Cheering you on Nu and Taua Key reminders: All in Leaders and volunteers meeting Tuesday March the 8th at 7.30pm we have an “All-In” leaders and volunteers meeting. If you’re involved in the life of the church in some capacity you should come. We have some exciting and important things to share and discuss. March Sermon Series: “Gap Filler” This month we are looking at Vision. Just like the gap fillers that popped up around Christchurch after the earthquake I want to talk about seeing beyond our circumstances into the realm of possibilities and dreams. We serve a creative God and He has put creativity in us. When we begin to see with the eyes of faith, we begin to realize that nothing is impossible. Easter Services This year we are doing something new for Good Friday. We are planning a combined service with Burnside Elim Community Church. This is the first time we’ve combined for a service and it will be a great time of unity and blessing as we remember all that Christ did for us on the Cross. Friday 25th of March, 10am, 285 Cashel Street. Then on Sunday 27th of March at 10am only, we are planning a great service to remember that we serve a Risen King. After the meeting we’ll be enjoying some yummy hot cross buns. It’s going to be a great service to invite your friends and family to, so make sure you book it in your calendar.
