Following on from Sunday’s message I just wanted to remind everyone of the challenge for the next 6 weeks. Choose 10 people that you will pray for over the next 2 weeks. It could be as simple as a minute prayer for each person taking you a total of 10mins to complete. Then once the 2 weeks is up, ask God to show you 5 people from the list of 10 and do something for them, serve them in some way. A random act of kindness whatever it might be. Do this for two weeks. Then once the two weeks is up, pray about which two of the 5 that you’ve been serving, you’ll invite to church.
This is a practical way to stand in the Gap for someone close to you. If you missed Sundays message click here to listen to what was shared.
Also I want to thank all the men that came out Saturday morning to our Elim Men’s Breakfast. We had a good turn out with around 45 men from across our two services. There was a great sense of fellowship and joy in the place and a timely word from Ps Dave Wallace of East City Church. Well to everyone involved, looking forward to the next one.
Let’s keep standing in the Gap for each other. Life is so much better lived together. Reach out to one another and serve one another. Even intervene if necessary!
Combined Good Friday service, Elim Church, 10am.
For the first time we have a Combined service with Burnside Elim Community Church. We’ll be hearing from 7 speakers about the seven sayings of Christ on the Cross. This is a significant date in the Christian calendar. Don’t miss this service, bring friends as we remember the sacrifice that Christ made for world.
Resurrection Sunday, Elim Church, (10am only) .
This is going to be a great service with creative items throughout. Ps Phil Godsiff is preaching on the topic “You + God + Grace”. You won’t want to miss it. And plan to stick around after the service and join us for hot cross buns.
Have a great week, see you Friday!
