Good morning church,
This morning as I write this blog, work in the upstairs level of our building is well underway. The floors and everything that was on it has been completely stripped and will be reinstalled once the new bracing goes in. The plaster and painting work in our Early Learning Centre has been completed and the team will spend the next two days moving back in ready to operate on Wednesday. The Worship Department is into its 3rd session of the Worship Central training programme with two members of the City East Church attending. The Alpha Course is into its 2nd week with the café full of people. Our Collision and Utopia Youth ministries are going full steam ahead with great leaders caring for the youth of our church and from the community. Our Young Adults and Men of the church are getting ready for upcoming camps respectively. Sunday services are going from strength to strength each week with more people experiencing the presence of God, more people deciding to follow Jesus and more new people becoming a part of the church.
It is an exciting time to be a part of church. It reminds me of a word that God gave me after two days of praying and fasting. It was simply this…”Be faithful in the little and you’ll be faithful in much”. I am excited about all the things that are happening around the church but it’s been the result of a lot of little things done the right way. Decisions made, systems implemented, relationships and connections fostered…have all lead to seeing change.
Things don’t radically happen overnight but are the result of being faithful in the little. I want to encourage you to apply this principle to your life daily. Success will come as a result of the little things accomplished along the way.
Question: How do you eat an Elephant? Answer: One bite at a time
Believing with you and cheering you on.
