Hope you’re having a great start to the week. Looking forward to seeing you all this Sunday for the start of our New Series – At the Movies.
Today we have an update from Ps Edgar in the Philippines. Enjoy.
Hello to our Dear Friends,
We are so happy to hear from Ps Nu and see on Facebook the wonderful things that God is doing in your church, some of those were witnessed by us during our visit there last year. We felt so much love from all of you. Your hospitality, welcoming us to your homes (Praise the LORD for the Halliwell family) connect groups, taking us to visit different places, food you served and awesome restaurants you took us to (we miss that already), friendship you have given us, and most of all the spiritual fire that you’ve put within our hearts through your prayers.
We will never forget your generosity by allowing us to attend your ONE conference that brought us so much understanding to visualize more of God’s plan for the church here in Bauan. We were spiritually energized knowing that God is the God of more. Thank you so much for the lovely gifts shared by the Elim family, because of that we were able to finish some of our pending projects. God is awesome.
Thank you for sending Mommy Sue and her team here to Bauan last January, for they have brought the church a great spiritual breakthrough (It was like an EARTHQUAKE because everyone who got prayed for was down on the floor). It was like a day of Pentecost to our church. My eldest son Lem was the first one to get baptized in the Spirit, and spoke in tongues. I ran immediately toward him to make sure I caught him and on the last Sunday the same happened to my youngest son, Jem. I think I was the happiest father at that time.
After that visit a lot of things happened and the Holy Spirit hasn't stopped blessing our people. There is more hunger for the Word of God now in our people, more commitments, more willingness to serve and the desires to bring more people into the church
Our Durungao outreach is getting stronger and the desire to build a church in their place is getting clearer in their hearts. Our STA. Rosa small group was restored and although we only have a few people, we believe that in God’s time they will flourish and another two small groups will be added to our church.
We celebrated our 20th Church Anniversary Last April with a theme; Made Alive In Christ. It was very meaningful to us.
In May we had our Youth Conference talking about Power Evangelism and most of the young people who attended were from the Durungao outreach and got baptised too. On the first day the speaker was having a hard time in his teaching, but after I told him about what happened last January he flowed according to it and then another spiritual breakthrough took place.
Our children’s ministry was blessed through OCC (Operation Christmas Child) from Samaritan’s Purse Ministry. We received 65 boxes of gifts, plus school supplies from Ps Ross and Dr. Nicole.
Last March during the visit of Ps Ross, I told him about the spiritual breakthrough and he too flowed in the Spirit and another powerful spiritual experience was there too. We actually brought that to the church at Aurora and the powerful work of the Spirit was also experienced, even in our last visit on first week of June. GOD IS AMAZING.
We pray that God will continually use you and bless you in His Kingdom. May His triumph never cease and His powerful work through the Holy Spirit be with you always.
