This year we’ve tried something a little different here at Elim Church. For the first time we had 7 families dedicating their children on Sunday. It was such a great day for the families and the children. One mum commented after the meeting saying she was trying really hard to hold back the tears. This is one of the fun parts of my role. To be able to stand with families from our church and agree over the blessing of their children. It was so much fun!! Keep an eye out for the next Dedication Sunday and get your family booked in.
Also today we received an enormous thank you card from the children of Woolston Primary School who had received lunches throughout the year. It was so cool to read some of the messages they wrote. I am so proud of all those that helped make these lunches this year. Thank you, thank you, and thank you. One child wrote “I hope you come back next year!!” I hope so too. If you would like to be involved in this small but powerful way of blessing children in need then please contact the office and ask for Paula Marsden.
This Sunday we have Baptisms, I understand we have 7 people being baptised which is just so great.
If you’ve yet to be baptised and have been thinking about it for a while why not do it this Sunday.
Bring you gear and talk to Ps Phil before the 10am service.
I just have to say “I love this Church! !” I believe God’s hand is all over us and next year is going to be the best year yet. So keep praying and believing for great things.
See you this Sunday.
Blessings Nu and Taua
