I hope you’ve all enjoyed the holidays or are enjoying the holidays depending on your situation.
As we look forward to 2015 I want to encourage you to look forward in faith.
Faith in the fact that God is with us and that He is for us and not against us.
Faith in the fact that the best is ahead of us and not behind us.
Faith in the fact that you’ve yet to see what you are truly capable of and that His gift and calling on your life are irrevocable.
Faith in the fact that His promises for you in 2015 are “Yes” and “Amen”.
I know this might sound a little ‘motivational/positive speak’ but I’m looking ahead with a real expectation that we will see some amazing things unfold this year.
Personally I think God is bringing order and alignment into the house and into worship. In the Book of Ezra, Ezra was tasked with restoring order in worship back in Jerusalem. It’s interesting to note that in the time of Ezra and through into the time of Christ. The order of service always had the reading and teaching of the word first and then the worship. I’m not saying that’s how it will be for us but there’s a real sense that God through his word first will bring you into a place of alignment with his will and purpose.
In the Book of Hebrews we find the biblical definition of Faith.
Hebrews 11:1King James Version (KJV)
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
This is a great way to walk through 2015…in absolute FAITH.
As the author of Hebrews tells us there is real substance to faith, it is not wishful thinking and wishy washy. Look for the evidence of God at work in your past and let that help you in your present as you walk towards your future.
