It’s been a while since my last post, but life has been full of interesting moments that I praise God for. I had my second Bottom of the South Regional Pastors meeting. It was great to get together with the Pastors from this region and hear about the blessings and challenges they are facing. I also spoke at our Elim Church in Timaru, Ash and Christine Murdoch lead a wonderful church there. If you’re ever in Timaru for the weekend check out their church. Then last Thursday I was asked by Ps Murray Robertson of South West Baptist to share about the ongoing changes in our Cultural landscape and what should be the response Church to it. It was a great privilege to share my own experiences and thoughts to these mainly Baptist Pastors. Somewhere in between all of this I became an uncle again and a Great-Uncle for the first time, we had Parent-Teacher interviews, netball games and netball trials… So life is very full.
It reminds me of what Ps Becs Green preached about Sunday morning. (by the way, she was amazing!) She talked about the stretching of God. I’ve definitely felt stretched in recent times. But it’s been all for a specific purpose and plan that God has for me. Don’t shy away from the challenges you face. You might just see the hand of God at work in and through it.
Again, I would like to invite all our ladies and teenage girls to register for this years “Replenish Conference”. It’s always a powerful time and input and ministry. There’s great teaching from our speakers, great worship from our team, great company from those who gather. Last year we had 310 registered for the conference but this year I want to see us pass that mark.
Do whatever you can to get there, register this Sunday at reception. If you have any questions contact the office.
Looking forward to being with everyone this weekend. Bring your friends and lets have a great time this Sunday.
