Well, it’s so good to be back after what has seemed like a whirlwind trip to China and Cambodia. (I’ll pre-warn you now I could be making a lot of references to the trip over the next few weeks as I process all that I experienced in my time there.) I arrived back in the country on Thursday the 28th of September, hosted a staff dinner in my home on the Friday and then I was off again to minister at our Elim Church in Hamilton for my good friends Ps Ants and Poro Cuthers. After this it was straight through to the National Conference in Auckland, which ran from Tuesday – Thursday, flying home again on Friday. So it’s been a busy few weeks for me.
I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to represent our movement at the Elim Global Asia Conference in Cambodia. I want to thank our Oversight for releasing me to attend and for our amazing staff who never skipped a beat and ran things so smoothly while I was away. I know God has put something in me and you have all played a crucial part in that.
To reference what the title of this blog is, I feel like God is moving (not to say that He had up till this point been idle) I have a feeling of acceleration or a shift happening. The Conference this year was amazing. It felt like the Spirit of God was really moving and releasing people. I believe ministries were saved as people were encountering God in the meetings. Many I spoke to had the fire in them reignited, others confirmation of the Call of God on their lives.
I don’t say this lightly but God was moving in our meetings at this year’s Conference. I personally felt a release from old mind-sets, a kind of feeling of being able to let go and allow God to have his way. God’s presence was in the place and people were growing with excitement and anticipation at what God would do next.
I’ve come back home excited about what I caught throughout the trip and throughout the conference. I feel a renewed determination to hear Gods voice and do what he wants.
I was asked by a Pastor from India if I believed that Jesus was coming back soon. I said yes, I do believe he is coming back soon. He agreed.
In Acts 2:17 Peter stands up in front of the crowd and quotes the Prophet Joel,” in the last days God will Pour out His Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams”. I believe He is doing that in our church in a fresh way. Seeing and hearing of the amazing things happening at the PRAYER ACTIVATION nights. Breakthroughs in healing, deliverance, freedom. I believe God is moving in our church in a fresh way. There is an increasing sense of the presence of God and people are growing in hunger for a move of the Spirit.
As we continue to seek his face and come expectant each week and we will see God move more powerfully each time, I believe God will move in a very real and tangible way. Your mind will try to rationalize what he is doing, but engage with your heart and accept the outpouring of His grace.
God is moving, let’s move with Him.
