Greetings Church,
Firstly I just want to congratulate all those involved in Music and Munchies on a Monday mornings. I was down there this week and saw a huge number of kids and parents enjoying the programme and the company. I know many of these families are unchurched families which is amazing. And I’ve just been told they are going to two morning sessions to accommodate the growth. Well done to Jacqui White, Michelle Greenstreet, Bronny Godsiff, Suzanne Grimwood and others for doing such an outstanding job for so many families in our community. It’s a real opportunity to share the love of God in a non-threatening way so well done. I’m enjoying what God is doing in our church at the moment, I’m getting a lot of feedback from members saying how much they are just loving the way church is going. Here’s one message I received after Sunday 5pm service. “Sorry I missed seeing you after church. That was awesome tonight. On point and fantastic. You inspire me all the time. I truly enjoy your sermons and as I am an audio learner I draw from your word all the time. I love church now it’s so friendly and just a great big family. I actually belong there and believe me there’s been many years I didn’t feel I belonged. You are nailing it. Love it and you are a fantastic leader and God is always in the house.” It’s so great to see and hear of great things are happening in people as they come to church on Sundays. I believe its really simple, we just keep turning up each week with expectant hearts and then see what God does in and through us. This is what it is to be part of the family of God. I want to ask you to pray for our church over this next two weeks. Pray for all our Leaders and ministries for wisdom and growth. Pray for our tenants that their businesses flourish including our Elim Early Learning Center and Power zone after school and Holiday programmes. Also pray that we get a the offices at 275 Cashel sold with a great offer. and pray for that we can set up a CAP Center here to meet the needs of the poor in our community. I really appreciate all you do, your commitment and prayers are essential to our growth as a church. Have a great week, see you Sunday. Nu Telea Reminders; In need of some prayer? ![]() Greetings church, Firstly I just want to thank everyone who helped make this years Replenish conference one of the best conferences we've had. This year we had over 230 registrations which was down on last year but on a positive note we had more woman from Elim Church Christchurch City register this year than last year. So well done to our own ladies! The preaching, testimonies, ministry and worship times were all amazing. I just loved seeing people passionately connecting with God. I was so proud of our team of staff and volunteers, everyone went the extra mile so thank you on behalf of Taua and the Elim NLT. Just a couple of staff positional changes to let you know about: Ps Phil Godsiff is now overseeing all of our Building and Business operations. This includes Health and Safety, liaising with Tenants, building upgrades and repairs...Ps Phil will also oversee our Youth programmes providing support for our Oxygen and Utopia Leaders. He will also oversee our AV and Serving teams on Sunday's. This means that Ps Paula Marsden is now overseeing all our Pastoral Care Ministries which includes Connect groups, New people, New Christians, Crisis support, Pre-Marriage Counselling, Baptisims and Baby Dedications... Both have been operating in their new roles for a few weeks now and they are doing an outstanding job. Please support them as they continue to transition into these roles. Coming Up I am so excited to be sharing on this new sermon series the Power of One. We are talking about the power of one moment, one thought, one word...and how it will transform your life. Each of us has the ability to make one decision that will change our lives for the better. Join us each Sunday and find out truths from Gods word that will transform your life. Also this Sunday at 12pm we have the first of our Welcome to the Family classes. This Sunday I'll be sharing about the vision of Elim Church Christchurch City.
