Well I don't know about you but I'm still buzzing about the weekend and how powerful it really was. So much happened at the Replenish Conference that I believe we will still reap the blessings of in the days, weeks and years to come.
The speakers were once again outstanding. They were each carry something so special and unique. A special moment was having Jacqui White share a year on after Emily's passing. It was simply courageous and we honour you Jacqui for sharing what you shared.
I would again like to thank all our amazing volunteers, who served at the Conference. We simply couldn't do any of it without you. As a Pastor its seeing those sacrificing their time, skills, energy to serve others that truly make my job a joy. So thank you on behalf of Taua and the planning team and the Movement, you are amazing!
I am so excited about the next couple of weeks at Church. This Sunday we have our very own Sue Doyle preaching and praying for people. If you are in need of prayer for yourself or for someone else then make sure you don't miss out. This is our Breakthrough Sunday!
Then the following Sunday we have a group of young talented singers joining us. Tone 6 are performing and we'll hear from them of what it's been like since they began. Here's a video clip of them. https://youtu.be/Dimfm5zJOQs
Both services are going to be amazing and great for inviting people. Take a risk today and invite someone to church this week. You might just be surprised at what they say.
Have an amazing week, walk in the grace God has given you and stay in step with his Spirit.
Greetings Church, Over the last few days I’ve been processing a passage from Mark 5:25-34 New International Version (NIV):
25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. 30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?” 31 “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ” 32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”
There’s so much to unpack in this story but here’s my initial thoughts: How was it that when everyone was touching Jesus only one got the miracle? Here’s my conclusion. There’s a difference between touching Jesus with curiosity and touching Jesus with faith. 1. Curiosity will make you part of the crowd. Faith will make you stand out from the crowd. 2. Curiosity will make you desperate to observe the power of God Faith will make you desperate to draw out the power of God. 3. Curiosity will make you miss out on an opportunity Faith will make you seize the opportunity and get your answer. Jesus said it was her faith that healed her. As she reached out to touch his garment she activated her faith and released the power. I want to encourage you to reach out and touch Jesus not with curiosity but with faith. Let his power flow in and through your situation today.
This Weekend is going to be amazing. We have our replenish conference with over 200 Women gathering in our Church. If you haven’t yet registered do it this week. If you want to serve and support then come down and be a part of the team.
Also on Sunday we have Ps Karolina Gunsser in our special “Conference overflow Service”. Don’t miss this and bring as many people as you can.
