Good Morning Church,
What a great time we had in our meetings last week. I’m really enjoying what God is doing in our church. We were able to pray for our connect group leaders at both services and I am told we have doubled the number of groups in comparison to last year. We’ve also seen the children’s programmes increase in attendance by 30% for Jan/Feb and our Utopia and Oxygen Youth programmes are both seeing increases in attendance and new people. These are great signs for this time of year, well done to all the leaders.
Last week I spent time again with the National Leadership of the Elim Churches of New Zealand. It’s always a faith filled time being with these leaders. I am always inspired and encouraged when I am with them. It was great to meet Ps Rick and Donna Shelton (Joyce Meyers former Pastors) and hear his heart concerning leadership and the church. He may return next year as our Guest speaker for our National Conference. (See photo below)
I felt for many people last Sundays message “Limiting a limitless God” was a word in season. I want to encourage you all to spend time listening to the message again and let it inspire and encourage you. When we keep the right picture of God we get the right of what God can do in us and through us.
Believing with you for greater things.

Prayer meeting (Wednesday 17th February)

It is great to be back after a week away with Taua and the girls on a much needed time away in Wanaka, enjoying the last few days of the school holidays.
During my time away I felt God impress on me this thought from Psalm 23 NKJV “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life”. The New Living Translation says “Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever”.
This is a wonderful truth of God’s character…Father God pursues us! It’s not us that chose him but He that chose us. He is desperate for us as a bridegroom is for his bride. He searches us out, chases after us because of His great love for us.
Do you remember the story of the prodigal son? It was the Father who waited, yearned, eagerly searched daily for his son to return and upon his return, the Father runs out towards him with great joy and love.
Just know that Father God is pursuing you today. How desperate are you to pursue Him? This is a challenging thought. How much of our time do we spend seeking Him out? Do we love Him as much as He loves us? Are we as excited to meet with Him as He is with us? Choose to pursue God with everything and see how your life changes. Give Him first place and see the growth in your heart increase. As we grow in our understanding of the Love of God, we grow in our understanding of ourselves and of the people God loves.
This year is the year of Connection. The first part of this is our connection with God. Why not make some life choices today to connect with God more this year than any other year in your life.
How could you do this? Maybe this is the year you increase spending time with Him. Maybe it’s reading and study of the word of God or maybe it’s increasing your attendance in our Sunday meetings from last year and going deeper in the presence of God. Pray and ask God how to go deeper and then step out and do something about it.
We are believing with you, you’ve got this!
Have a great week see you Sunday.
Nu and Taua Telea.
